I am a Research Scientist in the Geospace Physics Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and in the Department of Physics at the Catholic University of America. I graduated from the Department of Physics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (Lima, Peru) and received a PhD in space physics from the University of New Hampshire (Durham, NH, USA). My research focuses on magnetospheric physics. More specifically, I study how the interplay between the electromagnetic fields and particles affects the dynamics and the coupling of the plasma populations in the Earth's magnetosphere through the analysis of observational data and computer simulations. Since joining NASA Goddard, I have also been actively involved in the development and validation of computer models of the Earth's inner magnetosphere and ionosphere.
